Folly
Book Four
2022 / 2023
This is Folly’s fourth book, marking not only four years of letters, with over 50 sent but also a point of transition. We are moving from a monthly letter to a irregular publication. What I’ve discovered over the past four years is the time needed for contributors to research, write, and let go of their work. Hopefully, this move will allow a deeper way of working with a more valued physical end.
This year’s letters have once again covered a wide range of subjects, from experiments in social housing, exhibition reviews, explorations of building materials and techniques, and a discussion on Beehives, among many more. Every year I try to get more people involved in Folly, as it works best as a space of collaboration. This year I want to thank, Carsten Hoff, Ben Wells, and Aladin Borioli, as well as Eliot Haworth and Feral Partnerships; Beth FisherLevine, Enrico Brondelli di Brondello, and James Powell for their work on our exhibition Dove Tales, held in October 2023.
Thank you to everyone who wrote for and read Folly this past year.
